Double Action Harp Duo
.
"scrupulous attention to the harp's dynamic and rhythmic possibilities."
The Times
.
Keziah Thomas and Eleanor Turner met whilst studying with Daphne Boden at the Royal College of Music in London. Both award-winning Scholars, they decided to bring together their talents and love of the harp in the form of Double Action, the first harp duo to fully exploit the astonishing dramatic range of two harps.
.
Named after the double-action pedal harps which they play, the enterprising duo was selected for the prestigious Park Lane Group Young Artists Series 2005 at the Purcell Room in London. This results in the critically acclaimed performance of three World Premieres and inspired their debut CD Reaction.
.
Double Action were sponsored by Pilgrim Harps to perform at 'Journées de la Harpe' in Arles and won third prize in the 5th International Competition for Chamber Music with Harp 2003. For more information about Double Action visit www.harpduo.co.uk
